As owner of a historic car you are cultivating a precious cultural asset. You maintain a witness to history stating much about form and technique from long gone times. All the more a good reason for presenting your vehicle at the Concours d’Elégance in Basel!

Programme Wednesday, 17th August 2011

4.00 - 4.30 pm	Arrival of the participants at Basel Fair, hall 2. Handing out of the concours plates and documents

4.30 - 6.00 pm	Concours d'Elégance, evaluation by the jury, Cortège via the podium at the round courtyard

6.00 pm	Big reunion of the historic cars: Arrival of the Prologue Zurich and the automobiles of the Concours d'Elégance!

7.15 pm	Prize-giving ceremony Prologue Zurich

7.30 pm	Prize-giving ceremony Concours d'Elégance:
	1.	"Best of Show" for the winning participating car, chosen by the jury
	2.	Prize for the second-place winner
	3.	Prize for the third-place winner
	4.	Prize for the oldest participating car
	5.	BELMOT-Cup
	6.	Public's choice award for the most beautiful car, chosen by the audience (in collaboration with Basler Zeitung, official media partner)

8.15 pm	On request: the traditional Driver's Dinner on the 1st floor of the round inner courtyard. Enjoy the evening, meet likeminded people, talk “fuel”. 3-course-menu incl. wine, coffee, mineral water: CHF 55 per person. Reservation per application form, box office available for spontaneous decision.

Entry conditions

All categories and cubic capacity classes of vehicles built up to and including 1975. In case of more than 50 applications, the jury reserves the right to select the participating vehicles.

Entry fee

CHF 40 for 1 car and 2 persons.

CHF 20 for every additional accompanying person

Inlcuded are: Drink, concours plate, all documents (will be sent at the beginning of August), support service and organisation.

Deadline for registration and payment: 30th June 2011

Payment is due upon registration. Applications will be confirmed in writing after reception of the entry fee. This confirmation is a prerequisite for participation in the Concours.

Also in 2011, this Concours remains unique,

because of the location, the ambience and the most beautiful vehicles! This year’s concept considers the fact that numerous construction sites in town hinder the organisation. Moreover, our longstanding Partner, IG Steinen, has been dissolved; Freiestrasse and Marktplatz are not available at present.

In 2012 the Concours will once again lead through the old town of Basel on a new route.
